Lessons at Blue Eagle

Whether you want to get a young person involved with music, or you've always wanted to play but never had an opportunity, our lesson program will provide a fun and supportive learning environment. More advanced students will also find plenty to learn from our skilled instructors!

We offer lessons for electric, acoustic, and classical guitar, electric bass, banjo, beginning fiddle and more advanced techniques in old-time or Celtic fiddling styles, and hand percussion.

Blue Eagle Lessons

Lessons are held here at the Blue Eagle. Students typically schedule once a week, half-hour appointments. Fees and payment schedules vary with instructors; please call for availability or more information.

Liz Shaw

Blue Eagle Lessons Liz Shaw

Liz Shaw, a fifth generation folk musician from the mountains of North Carolina, operated a popular folk music school with 14 teachers and 300 students per week. Liz has instructed over 1,000 fiddle, banjo, guitar, dulcimer, and piano students through private lessons, college courses, workshops, and community center group lessons.
